2nd Shift Painter

Specific responsibilities include:
Performs automotive-type painting spray methods.
+ Prepare areas to be painted.
+ Mask areas to protect them from paint.
+ Prime and paint surfaces, using paint spray guns and other equipment as needed.
+ Mix paint to match color specifications or colors, then stir and thin the paints.
+ Remove grease, dirt, paint or rust from surface in preparation for paint application using abrasives, solvents, and brushes.
+ Monitor painting operations to identify flaws.
+ Spot paints various types of paint to match existing colors
+ Estimates length of time to complete current work and/or make repairs.
+ Operates and maintains filter system in spray booth and general to prevent fumes in warehouse area.
+ Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
+ Other duties as needed to meet Production requirements.
Required Education and Experience:
At least two years of Automotive type painting experience
+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds throughout the day
+ Must be able to stand and walk for an ten hour shift
+ Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment
+ Must be able to operate in a heavy deadline environment.
+ Must be self-motivated with abilities to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
+ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
+ Must be fluent in English, ability to speak other languages a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility - this position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment - this job operates in a shop environment where exposure to heat is frequent.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Tuesday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Travel - this position does not require travel.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications - must pass a background check and drug test.
