    Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Formulation Technician for our Medical Supply and Instrumentation partner in Sunnyvale, CA.

     

    The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $19. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Position Summary:

    The position reports to the Production Manager and Production Team Lead. This role is responsible for producing various columns. You will apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues and work on problems of limited scope. You will follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Under close supervision, you will read bills of material, discrete jobs, and production procedures. You will perform assembly, packing, equilibration, testing using various ion chromatography equipment, and embalming of columns. You will follow written and verbal instructions using common laboratory equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Handle chemicals, solutions, eluents, and waste safely and appropriately. Approximately 50% of daily activities involve handling chemicals and mixing solutions.

     

    Follow the production schedule, limited to 1 to 2 products at a time.

     

    Maintain production records for all products packed, assembled, and tested.

     

    Record daily quantities, yields, and discrete job status.

     

    Inform the Production Lead immediately of any material shortages or production issues.

     

    Fill out Rejection and Store Transaction forms as needed.

     

    Complete time sheets daily.

     

    Assist teammates in achieving goals, often requiring multi-tasking.

     

    Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, hear, and smell. You will frequently sit and reach with hands and arms. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. You will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    High school diploma required.

     

    1 year of college chemistry with 1 year of chemical laboratory experience, or 1-2 years of related laboratory experience, or equivalent work experience.

     

    Demonstrated ability in preparing chemical solutions, standards, and using common laboratory equipment.

    Interaction with Other Employees:

    Regularly communicate with the Production Lead and Production Manager to take daily assignments and report relevant production-related information.

     

    Frequently work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve product quality and throughput.

     

    Build stable working relationships internally.

     

    **Pay Details:** $19.00 per hour
