About This Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Manager to oversee and coordinate all laboratory activities across various practice sites. The role ensures that test procedures, services, and clinical information comply with organizational, federal, and state standards, providing accurate and timely test results. The Laboratory Manager will work collaboratively with the staff in managing patient care and integrating laboratory activities and services.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
+ Work collaboratively with staff to integrate laboratory activities and services with patient care.
+ Perform a variety of administrative duties specific to the laboratory.
+ Manage workflow, quality, laboratory budgets, laboratory projects, and conflicts.
+ Organize and participate in meetings to improve work efficiencies and quality.
+ Oversee Core Lab operations.
+ Apprise the Director of Laboratory Services of all activities, market changes, and present action plans for implementation.
+ Maintain awareness of customer needs and ensure compliance with standards for laboratory services from neonate to geriatrics.
+ Plan, implement, and manage unit activities for efficient operations, quality results, and professional customer service.
+ Establish communication mechanisms for access to laboratory-related information.
+ Assist in maintaining the Laboratory Information System.
+ Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor workflow for adequate Lab services.
+ Collaborate with laboratory, medical, and hospital staff to promote patient satisfaction and resolve problems.
+ Compile, prepare, and maintain records, reports, and files for administrative and compliance purposes.
+ Supervise, develop, and motivate staff to ensure a capable, productive team.
+ Maintain confidentiality of patient, department, and hospital information in compliance with policies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
+ Licensed Medical Technologist, must be eligible for State of TN Supervisor's License
+ Active ASCP or AMT Certification
+ Must have experience working as a bench tech in Blood Banking/Core Lab
+ Must have supervisory or leadership experience
+ Must have experience working in hospital setting. Level 3 Trauma or above.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm but must be flexible, and available to work some weekends if urgent matters occur.
Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Relocation assistance provided if needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $99944.00 - $100000.00/yr.
