Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers for our chemical manufacturing plant, with openings available on both day and night shifts. The day shift runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., both following a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

+ Move materials within the facility using sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.

+ Handle products weighing up to 50 lbs and roll large drums weighing up to 100 lbs.

+ Load and unload trucks efficiently.

+ Perform additional tasks outside of typical material handling duties as needed to support various areas of the facility.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.

+ Ability to handle and move heavy materials safely.

+ Strong general labor skills including loading and unloading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience in manufacturing or material handling.

+ Experience in landscaping, carpentry, or construction is beneficial.

+ Possess a positive attitude and willingness to assist in various facility operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, meaning it can become extremely hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. Adaptability to these conditions is necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salisbury, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
