    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving products around the facility using a sit-down electric forklift. Your duties will include staging materials, bringing products to production lines, picking items from inventory and storage, and transporting products to docks. You will also load and unload trucks using a forklift and perform general warehouse tasks. This role requires spending 65% of your time on the forklift.

    Responsibilities

    + Move products around the facility using a sit-down electric forklift.

    + Stage materials and bring products to production lines.

    + Pick items from inventory and storage.

    + Transport products to docks.

    + Load and unload trucks using a forklift.

    + Perform general warehouse tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of experience operating a sit-down electric forklift.

    + Experience in loading and unloading trucks using a forklift.

    + Experience with pallet handling.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual abilities are an advantage.

    + Experience in shipping and receiving.

    + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    + Experience in blending and batch mixing.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a very clean, temperature-controlled facility equipped with packaging machinery, kettles for mixing, and inventory areas. The floor consists of various tanks, machinery, and packaging lines. While it can be slightly warmer around the machinery and kettles, the facility is known for its pleasant aroma and overall positive atmosphere. Employees are required to wear hairnets, beard nets, no jewelry, work pants, and non-slip boots, as it is a GMP environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.85 - $19.85/hr.
