Job Title: Industrial Mechanic
Job Description
Maintain and repair all equipment and machine tools in the plant and install new equipment as needed. Perform preventative maintenance tasks using established maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
+ Perform a wide variety of work including assembly, welding, or parts making, requiring a high level of expertise in all areas.
+ Work from drawings, engineering specifications, sketches, verbal instructions, and other data to build, maintain, or rework a wide variety of prototype components, lab fixtures, and test vehicles.
+ Collaborate closely with design, product evaluation, and shop supervision in the development and construction of component parts and equipment while maintaining required quality specifications.
+ Plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble a wide variety of complex parts and assemblies. Set up and operate necessary machine tools, welding, brazing, and burning equipment as required.
+ Devise and construct fixtures and tooling as needed. Tear down, repair, modify, rebuild, or assemble units and components to meet engineering design, test, and operating requirements.
+ Maintain necessary records, operate material handling equipment, and move materials as required. Inform appropriate supervision of faulty equipment, defective parts and materials, and unusual conditions.
+ Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly manner and follow prescribed safety and work rules.
+ Perform other duties as required or directed.
Essential Skills
+ Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
+ Team player, organized, and self-motivated.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
+ Proficient with computers and software systems.
+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with at least 3 months in a production setting.
+ Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Fabrication knowledge, including CNC machinery, lathes, mills, hydraulic press, saw, and drill press.
+ Welding knowledge, particularly for prototype builds.
+ Assembly knowledge for building prototype skid steer/compact track loaders from the ground up.
+ Proficiency in hydraulics and electrical systems.
+ Ability to follow engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Work Environment
The role requires working outside onsite. Steel toe boots are mandatory. You will work with one other individual in the field at all times, with interaction with around 10 people on the team.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.50/hr.
