    Description

    Position: Temporary Financial Project Analyst

     

    Duration: 4-5 weeks

     

    Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week

     

    Compensation: Competitive hourly rate $37-45/hr

    Position Summary

    Seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Temporary Financial Project Analyst to lead the review and optimization of a facilities center. This role involves project management, financial analysis, and process improvement. The candidate should demonstrate analytical rigor, engage cross-functional teams, and deliver cost-control recommendations with minimal supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    Budget & Expense Review:

    + Validate and analyze facility budgets, spending trends, and variances.

    Accounting & Coding Improvement:

    + Improve coding practices for expenditures and implement new program codes.

    + Ensure consistent documentation of facility expenses.

    Process Development & Implementation:

    + Create standardized workflows for department requests and implement them within the facilities management system

    Analysis & Recommendations:

    + Analyze facility spending and provide performance metrics and cost-efficiency recommendations.

    Project Management & Reporting:

    + Manage project scope, timeline, and deliverables. Deliver progress updates and finalize outcomes.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    Experience: 4+ years in roles combining project management and financial accounting/analysis, with preferred exposure to nonprofit or facilities/operations finances.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.

    Skills:

    + Self-starter with strong project management capabilities.

    + Proficient in GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, GL coding, and variance analysis.

    + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, with experience in facilities management software like SchoolDude as a plus.
