Position Overview:
Hospital outpatient coding experience or certification. Responsible for timely, and accurate resolution of billing defects throughout the life cycle of a charge. Resolves work queue defects which include but are not limited to charge review defects, claim edit defects, follow up defects, router review, and credit balance work queue resolution. Utilizes available tools, payer specific rules, and applicable policies and guidelines to research and resolve data/billing integrity defects. Obtains authorizations, performs manual charge entry, participates in continuous process improvement projects and workgroups, and identifies opportunities for improvement.

EDUCATION:
+ High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 1 year recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge with payer plans including but not limited to Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Government, Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Worker's Compensation (WC).
+ Verbal/written communication and listening skills.
+ Interpersonal skills necessary to represent organization in a professional and positive manner.Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments and meet deadlines.
+ Organization skills, thorough follow through and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay Range is $33.18 to $46.45 / hour
