Hours/Schedule: Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm
Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
+ Plan, prioritize, and manage SOX audit projects in-line with project milestones expected.
+ Review SOX testing workpapers to verify achievement of audit objectives and quality in audit deliverables.
+ Critically evaluate internal control deficiencies to understand root cause, exposure, and impacts, and collaborate with control owners to assemble detailed management action plans.
+ Monitor SOX resourcing plans and milestones to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and scheduled to deliver against planned testing milestones; Leverage audit team tools to provide comprehensive and clear SOX status reports that succinctly summarize scope, testing status, milestones and delivery, issues, and agreed action plans to be shared within the ARA team as well as to business stakeholders when needed.
+ Ensure audit tools (AuditBoard) are completely and accurately updated to promote visibility into testing progress and results.
+ Partner and collaborate with our external auditor team on SOX testing deliverables and progress when needed.
+ Support the Sr. Director in planning and developing the FY26 SOX Program.
+ This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through working with others. The role is responsible for managing team members in professional jobs who are not direct reports, but the manager will oversee for each assigned project.
Qualifications
+ A degree in finance or accounting
+ Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience
+ In-depth understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
+ Expertise in technical accounting and financial statement audit concepts, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in practical situations.
+ Ability to be accountable and take ownership of individual assignment and team assignments, while providing high quality and timely audit deliverables.
+ Resourcefulness and the ability to foster collaboration and drive results within cross-functional teams.
+ Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and propose solutions.
+ Planning, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with tolerance for uncertainty.
+ CPA preferred
