    Northrop Grumman is seeking an **Associate Engineer** **_Aeronautical_** **/ Engineer** **_Aeronautical_** **.** This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Melbourne, Florida.

     

    The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Vehicle Engineering directorate.

    Essential Functions:

    The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to:

    + Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.

    + Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

     

    _This requisition may be filled at either an_ **_Associate Engineer Aeronautical_** _(T01) or_ **_Engineer Aeronautical_** _(T02)._

    Basic Qualifications for an** **Associate Engineer** **_Aeronautical_** **(T01)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    + Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

    + Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.

    + Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

    Basic Qualifications for an Engineer** **_Aeronautical_** **(T02)

    A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

    + Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of Aeronautical engineering experience

    + Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree

    + Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

    + Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

    Pay Range

    + **Associate Engineer** **_Aeronautical (T01)_** **:** **$** **62,200.00 - 93,400.00**

    + **Engineer** **_Aeronautical (T02)_** **: $75,300.00 - 112,900.00**
