GE Appliances, a Haier Company, is seeking a dynamic Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and elevate a high-performing team of recruiting professionals critical to achieving the company’s hiring and growth objectives. Based in Louisville, KY, with flexibility for remote work for the right candidate. This leader will drive operational excellence, strengthen process efficiency, and champion GE Appliances’ employer brand in the marketplace.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, the Director will set the strategic direction for a scalable, data-driven recruiting function that delivers measurable business impact. This individual will provide vision, leadership, and disciplined execution to optimize hiring processes, enhance the candidate and stakeholder experience, and ensure the organization attracts the right talent to meet current and future workforce demands.

How You'll Create Possibilities
+ Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 10 recruiters, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence.
+ Deliver hiring commitments on time and within budget across Field Service, Contact Center, and all corporate functions.
+ Drive process discipline by ensuring consistent use of Talent Acquisition systems, tools, and standardized workflows to maximize efficiency and compliance.
+ Partner with business and HR leaders to align recruiting strategies with workforce and business priorities, ensuring talent solutions drive organizational success.
+ Serve as the first line of escalation for recruiting-related challenges, providing timely, data-driven solutions and guidance.
+ Cultivate continuous learning through regular training, development, and knowledge-sharing across the Talent Acquisition team.
+ Establish and manage KPIs and dashboards to measure effectiveness, track progress, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
+ Leverage AI, market insights, and data analytics to optimize sourcing, enhance candidate quality, and strengthen stakeholder experience.
+ Collaborate with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition to expand service delivery models and prepare the function for future business growth, including production recruiting.
+ Champion inclusive recruiting practices in partnership with People & Culture and HR teams, ensuring alignment with GE Appliances’ People & Culture values.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery and responsiveness.
+ Partner with Communications and Social Media teams to strengthen GE Appliances’ employer brand and promote recruiting initiatives.
+ Oversee and optimize recruiting tools and systems (Workday, TalentNeuron, etc.), ensuring effective utilization and ROI on recruiting technologies.
+ Evaluate and recommend sourcing strategies that proactively build diverse talent pipelines and reduce time-to-fill.
+ Advise hiring managers on effective interviewing, selection, and workforce planning practices.
+ Collaborate with HRBPs and hiring managers to craft accurate, inclusive job descriptions aligned with role requirements and market competitiveness.
+ Monitor compliance with all applicable employment laws, including EEO, ADA, and federal/state hiring regulations.
+ Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing recruiting budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to minimize overall cost per hire.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive recruiting experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing both salaried and hourly recruiting functions.
+ Proven success leading a large recruiting team in a complex, multi-site, high-volume organization—ideally within manufacturing, consumer goods, or field operations.
+ Strong business acumen with the ability to translate workforce needs into actionable recruiting strategies.
+ Demonstrated ability to build relationships across senior leadership, HR, and operations while influencing through data, insights, and outcomes.
+ Deep understanding of recruiting processes, systems, and metrics, with experience driving process adherence and operational discipline.
+ Knowledge and practical experience leveraging AI and digital tools to enhance recruiting delivery and candidate experience.
+ Collaborative, hands-on leader who balances strategic vision with operational excellence and execution.
