The Program Manager Team Member plays a critical role in supporting the management of enterprise strategic initiatives for Group Retirement. This includes actively tracking the alignment of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), overseeing special initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and facilitating process excellence across the organization.
We are seeking a dynamic and exceptional leader to join our Operational Excellence team as a motivated and detail-oriented Program/Project Manager. Experienced working in the retirement industry is a big plus. They excel in risk assessment, process innovation, and project management, demonstrating strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. This person is adaptable, embraces change, and communicates effectively with diverse teams to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. A collaborative mindset, high ethical standards, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement are essential for success in this role. This position will be a blend of in office and remote work.
Key Job Responsibilities
+ **Project/Program Management:**
+ Plan, execute, and monitor projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
+ Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track project progress and performance metrics.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
+ Utilize project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and resources effectively.
+ Act as the main contact for project communications, facilitating meetings, sharing updates, and ensuring team and stakeholder alignment.
+ **Risk Assessment and Mitigation**
+ Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
+ Conduct annual risk workshops and assessments to proactively identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
+ Develop and implement contingency plans to address identified risks and ensure business continuity and cyber incident preparedness.
+ Monitor risk indicators and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate organizational performance and vulnerabilities.
+ Conduct gap analyses with stakeholders to identify and address discrepancies between the current state and desired outcomes.
+ **Process Innovation and Optimization**
+ Develop and document new processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
+ Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Conduct regular reviews and analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities of improvement
+ Implement Lean principles to simplify operations, minimize waste, and reduce risks.
+ Responsible for managing and maintaining the GR Process Repository (ServiceNow)
+ **Perform other duties as assigned.**
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$115,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ Program/Project Manager with 3 years of experience, a background in the retirement industry desired.
+ Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
+ Proficient in process innovation, documentation, and recordkeeping.
+ Familiarity with gap analysis and agile or waterfall project management methodologies.
+ Readiness to “roll up the sleeves” and to go outside comfort zone to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ Proven experience in process improvement, vulnerabilities and risk mitigation, and relationship building.
+ Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading projects.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse teams.
+ Experience working with 401(k) recordkeeping vendors, specifically SS&C.
+ Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
+ Strong self-direction and personal accountability.
+ Curiosity and learning agility in dynamic environments.
+ Ability to summarize and communicate key points with precision.
+ Proven ability to manage tasks end-to-end.
+ Experience building and documenting process and procedures
+ Proven experience with influencing change through leveraging agile, adaptive leadership models and change management
+ Ability to work with and influence all levels of stakeholders, from executive management to individual contributors, to drive timely decision-making
Skills
**Project Management:** Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

**Cross-functional Collaboration:** Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.
**Results Orientation:** Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.
