Overview
The Technology Architect role provides technical designs and solutions to complex business problems that cross the enterprise. This position will be engaged in high profile projects to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and engineered to meet all business requirements at the most optimal cost. The Architect position will also develop technical roadmaps for aging infrastructure that are aligned with the 20/20 modernization vision.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Create solution designs for high profile business projects covering the following areas (infrastructure capacity, shared service requirements, integration choices, network security policy, operational readiness and estimations)
+ Define multiyear roadmaps for legacy enterprise application environments running on mainframe, AS400 and distributed infrastructure. Creating and sharing of roadmaps will set direction for engineering teams to build platforms that will align to company objectives and avoid costly re-work in the future.
+ Investigate, analyze and discover opportunities to lower or control operating expenses coming from software subscriptions, maintenance and hardware consumption
+ Identify and document opportunities for automating processes and procedures that will free up repetitive tasks and enable operations teams to focus on improved system availability and uptime
+ Review and bring to life proofs of concept on new technologies (i.e. AI, IoT, Cloud etc.) that enable the company to grow into new business opportunities
Education and Experience:
+ Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
+ Area of Study: Information systems, technology, engineering, mathematics
+ Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ Type of Experience:
+ Defining technical roadmaps and standards
+ Support services integrations (cloud, data center, BSD/SC field, retail)
+ Security architecture and compliance - Act as point person for all security enhancements and compliance reviews (PCI, SOX, PII, etc.)
+ Support agile integration for infrastructure and application projects enabling teams to adapt as workflows change
+ Create standards for capacity planning and peak season readiness around data center infrastructure and cloud services
+ Provide and analyze KPI's and CPI's around production services in support of automation opportunities and reduction in SLA impacting incidents
+ Assist in operationalizing cloud support around production services for scheduling, monitoring and reporting
+ Evaluate new products, technologies and vendors through research, proof of concepts and pilot installations
+ Review action plans for problem management issues to ensure fixes are being solutioned in accordance with the best business and financial consequences for the company
+ Act as an expert adviser, educate and offer training to technical/functional leads and management to optimize use of technology, applications, systems and processes in alignment with architecture best practices and business critical priorities

**Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule:** The salary range for this role is $116,100/year to $195,500/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
