Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:50 AM – 2:45 PM (37.5 hours/week)

May include bus duty after 3:00 PM

Position Overview

Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated Instructional Assistant(School Aide) to provide 1:1 support for a first-grade student whois hearing impaired and placed in an Exceptional Children (EC)classroom. This is a full-time role offering a meaningful opportunity to make adifference in a child’s educational journey.

No licensure is required—training will be provided by the HearingImpaired (HI) Teacher to help interpret and break down lessons for thestudent.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide instructional and behavioral support under the supervision of the EC department and classroom teacher

+ Assist with interpreting and simplifying lessons for a hearing-impaired student

+ Support classroom activities and collaborate with the teacher and teacher assistant

+ Assist with any personal care or mobility needs as directed by health professionals (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Previous classroom experience

+ Experience working 1:1 with students

+ Experience supporting hearing-impaired students (a plus)

Minimum Requirements

+ High School diploma or equivalent (required)

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
