+ Grade Levels: 2nd–5th Grade
+ Caseload: Approximately 35 students
+ Schedule: FMLA - October 30 – February 28 | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM (33.75 hours/week)
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to elementary students in a supportive school environment. This is an FMLA coverage opportunity ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills.
Role Overview:
The SLP will be responsible for conducting student evaluations, delivering individualized therapy services, and documenting progress in alignment with each student’s plan of care and physician’s orders. This role plays a vital part in supporting student success in both academic and social settings.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades 2–5
+ Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
+ Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
+ Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student needs
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations
Minimum Requirements:
+ Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License (required)
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (preferred; may be required by contract)
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
