As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients feel supported, informed, and cared for at every step of their health journey. This PRN (as-needed) opportunity is ideal for an experienced or motivated medical assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinic setting and enjoys working alongside skilled providers and a supportive team.

What You’ll Do

+ Prepare patients for exams and treatments, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately.

+ Assist physicians and advanced practice clinicians with minor procedures, examinations, and diagnostic tests.

+ Perform basic clinical tasks such as dressing changes, suture/staple removal, and specimen collection.

+ Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and ensure all equipment is disinfected and ready for use.

+ Support efficient patient flow by assisting with scheduling, prior authorizations, and collecting co-payments as needed.

+ Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams to ensure a positive experience.

+ Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training to continually enhance care delivery.

What You’ll Bring

+ Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required

+ One (1) year of experience in a medical practice setting preferred

+ Knowledge of medical terminology, basic lab values, anatomy, and pharmacology preferred

+ Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a team environment

+ Must complete all onboarding education and competencies prior to performing assigned tasks

Shift:

Variable - 10 Hours (United States of America)

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
