Private Event Sales Manager
SUMMARY
At Montage, our Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting new event accounts and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. They are responsible for creating memorable and seamless dining experiences for guests in all private dining spaces. This leader will oversee the daily operations of private dining, manage all aspects of guest service for group dining events, and collaborate with both culinary and event teams to deliver exceptional, personalized service that reflects our brand’s commitment to luxury hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Handle inquiry calls, proposals, negotiations and contracts according to departmental procedures for private dining leads.
+ Achieve Weekly and Monthly Prospecting Goals.
+ Schedule site visits and provide assistance to any walk-in clients insuring each guest leaves with a positive impression.
+ Selling private dining space using departmental policy and procedures.
+ Lead the planning and execution of all private dining events, ensuring flawless service from pre-event preparation through post-event follow-up.
+ Ensure event details are accurate and entered into the sales and catering system.
+ Responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.
+ Utilize creative methods to close business.
+ Provide quarterly production data to Director of Sales and Marketing.
+ Attend weekly staff meetings and provide update on business.
+ Monitor client satisfaction and have the ability to creatively resolve guests concerns or challenges using business acumen skills and discretion.
+ Partner with sales, catering, banquets, and culinary teams to design menus and experiences tailored to guest preferences and event goals and ensure smooth flow to the client.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, ensuring personalized touches that elevate the dining experience.
+ Manage and supervise private dining service staff, including training, scheduling, and performance development.
+ Maintain strong knowledge of Hotel’s food, wine, and beverage offerings to provide guidance and recommendations to guests.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control related to private dining operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury hospitality, with a focus on sales, private dining, banquets, or fine dining service.
+ Exceptional organizational and communication skills with guests, leadership and co-workers
+ Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
+ Familiarity with food and beverage basics, menu planning and private/group event coordination
+ A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and exceeding expectations.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business demands.
+ Computer proficiency and ability to work with Delphi, Excel and Microsoft Office programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 6 hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. This may include traveling to and from meetings. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates. Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

The pay scale for Private Event Sales Manager is $75,000 to $90,000.
The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
