Position Title International Conversation Circles Ambassador

Student Status Work Study Required- You are required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position.

Hiring Range $14-16 per hour

Sponsorship Information

Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

Department/Employer Operating Hours Ability to work from 4:00-7:00pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

How many hours per week are required? 6-10 hours per week

Description of Primary Duties

Get paid to make friends and learn about other cultures while sharing your own! Interact with international students both in person and online who are learning English by engaging in conversation focused on everyday life, culture, and English idioms such as “When it rains, it pours.” Support our Conversation Circles program leaders and share your hospitality with our international students at MSU !

Required Qualifications

+ Excellent interpersonal communication skills

+ Desire to connect with people from a wide range of language backgrounds and nationalities

+ Ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of language/linguistic backgrounds

+ Ability to work from 4:00-7:00pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
