SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan in compliance with the Joint Commission Standards. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of moderately complex biomedical equipment and systems, including multi-component devices that may or may not be interconnected under guidance and direct supervision. May also coordinate vendor maintenance activities including project installations, maintenance, repair and recalls. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge level and experienced in most or all facets of job. Possesses an intermediate level of expertise and is capable of assisting less experienced staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
+ Associates degree in Biomedical, Electronics Technology or related field/military training or two (2) years of additional experience required.
+ Two (2) years of related experience required.
+ Must currently possess and maintain a valid driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
+ IT Certification, such as networking or A++ preferred.
+ BMET certification preferred.
