The budgeted hiring range for this position is $123,250-$134,125.
Position Summary:
The Director leads the in-house creative team, aligning the creative vision with the organization's strategic goals. The Director oversees the creative brief process and is responsible for establishing an intake process that is accessible to all organizational functions. The Director supervises the functions' capacity and, when appropriate, approves outsourced work. The role collaborates cross-functionally to align creative strategies with business objectives while elevating brand storytelling, visual identity, and creative operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy and Execution
+ Translate business strategies and marketing goals into creative concepts for internal and external campaigns.
+ Lead the development of brand-aligned assets across print, digital, video, events, internal communications, and educational materials—including the annual Flame Forward! conference.
+ Oversee the creative process from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and audience impact.
+ Continuously refine and innovate storytelling and design approaches to keep the brand fresh, relevant, and engaging.
Brand Stewardship
+ Develop the brand's visual identity, tone, and messaging across all channels.
+ Maintain a consistent brand presence while adapting assets for various audiences, platforms, and formats.
+ Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally, upholding the brand's values and voice in all creative work.
Team Leadership
+ Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team including designers, writers, videographers, and content creators.
+ Foster a culture of evolvitude, collaboration, and innovation.
+ Recruit, develop, and evaluate team members, setting clear goals and encouraging growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Partner with direct marketing, communications, and solutions to support the Growth function of Nightingale Education Group.
+ Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure creative needs are clearly understood and met.
+ Present creative concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams, articulating rationale and impact.
Workflow Management
+ Monitor project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time, on-brand deliverables.
+ Optimize workflows and creative development processes for efficiency, scalability, and quality.
+ Gather and thoughtfully consider stakeholder feedback in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, a Master's degree is preferred
+ At least 7 years of Art Direction or Creative Experience.
+ At least 5 years of proven experience leading a high-performing creative team.
+ Strong portfolio showcasing brand development, campaign work, and cross-channel creative execution.
+ Passion for purposeful storytelling, innovation, and creating design systems that scale.
+ A deep understanding of how to balance brand consistency with creative exploration.
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
