The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen, TX is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You'll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, & Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab!
Roles and Responsibilities
+ **Problem Solving Leadership:** Lead problem-solving efforts using tools such as PSR (Problem Solving Report) and APPS (At Point Problem Solving). Drive systemic changes that address root cause findings and ensure corrective actions are effective and sustainable. Collaborate with shop floor teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve product quality issues efficiently.• **Investigations:** Conduct thorough investigations to identify the root cause of product quality issues. Implement preventative and corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence. Ensure timely containment of escapes and non-conformances in the product.• **Quality Processes:** Apply working knowledge of quality tools and processes, including RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions). Coach colleagues to ensure consistent compliance with product quality standards. Support escape and loss reduction activities, including PSR and APPS deliverables.• **Compliance:** Ensure all local quality systems and policies comply with internal and National Aviation Authority Regulations (e.g., Part 145, PC108). Provide support for internal and external audits. Identify and mitigate product and regulatory risks, including SMS (Safety Management System).• **FLIGHT DECK:** Support daily management and collaborate to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Lead problem-solving efforts to deliver systemic changes that address root cause findings and ensure corrective actions are effective and sustainable.• **Collaboration and Influence:** Build strong relationships with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers. Work effectively under pressure while influencing and convincing others to achieve quality outcomes. Foster teamwork and act as a mentor to colleagues, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing/Quality)
Preferred Qualifications
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
+ Strong knowledge of quality tools and processes, including PSR, APPS, RCCA, and CAPA
+ Experience in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative measures
+ Proficiency in technical document writing and data analytics
+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills
