Who Will You Be Working With
The Senior Analyst, Tax will be a critical member of the tax team, reporting to the Director, Tax Compliance, and working with the global tax team while partnering with members of our finance team across the organization.
How Will You Make a Difference
This position will play a key role in running the federal tax function, ensuring accurate tax computations, technical analysis, tax compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in federal, state and local tax compliance, enabling them to navigate the complexities of U.S. tax regulations and practices. The ideal candidate will also be detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of collaborating with various individuals and departments to optimize tax processes and systems to drive accurate results.
Key Responsibilities
+ Prepare or review the company's federal tax calculations for compliance, reporting, disclosures, and audits, as well as relevant computations and support as needed the quarterly and annual tax provision.
+ Prepare or maintain workpapers for both temporary and permanent differences for federal proforma and state and local tax returns.
+ Conduct technical analysis of tax positions and document clearly and accurately.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant U.S. federal tax laws and regulations.
+ Collaborate with tax, finance, and business cross-functional teams when needed to gather critical data and complete analysis.
+ Monitor changes in federal tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
+ Coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities as needed.
+ Support M&A teams to ensure accurate documentation and analysis for acquired companies with respect to federal, state and local tax issues.
What We Want to Know About You
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Masters of Tax beneficial.
+ A minimum of 4+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, preferably in a public accounting firm or a large corporation.
+ Understanding of tax technology used in the computation of federal tax (excel, fixed asset systems, tax compliance software such as OneSource).
+ Solid data management skills to format and manage data to enter into tax compliance software
+ Strong knowledge of federal and state tax filing requirements.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Salary is based on experience, education, market demands, and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$89,100.00-$126,900.00
The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com . Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
