Job Title: People Specialist
Department: G&A - People and Talent
Reports to: Senior Manager, Total Rewards
Role Description: The People Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless employee experience across benefits administration, leave of absence coordination, and core people operations. This role supports day-to-day HR processes, ensures compliance with employment laws, and provides thoughtful, empathetic support to Tripleseat team members at all stages of their journey.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, People Operations and partners closely with the broader People team to deliver efficient, high-quality programs that help our employees thrive.
Core Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
+ Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, providing guidance with care and accuracy.
+ Administer and maintain health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans; support open enrollment and mid-year changes.
+ Partner with brokers and vendors to ensure accurate enrollments, billing, and reporting.
+ Communicate benefit offerings clearly and proactively to enhance employee understanding and engagement.
Leave of Absence (LOA) Management
+ Manage the full lifecycle of employee leaves, including medical, parental, and other statutory leaves (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
+ Coordinate with payroll, managers, and employees to ensure accurate leave tracking and compliance.
+ Maintain detailed records and ensure documentation aligns with company policy and legal requirements.
+ Provide empathetic, confidential guidance to employees navigating leaves.
People Operations
+ Maintain employee records and data integrity within HR systems (HRIS).
+ Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and data changes to ensure smooth operational processes.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, Payroll, IT, etc.) to ensure alignment and efficiency.
+ Contribute to process improvements and documentation that streamline the People team workflows.
+ Support compliance initiatives, including audits, EEO reporting, and handbook updates.
Employee Support & Experience
+ Respond to employee inquiries with a focus on exceptional service and confidentiality.
+ Partner with the broader People team on engagement programs, wellness initiatives, and internal communications.
+ Contribute to People-related projects and company culture initiatives as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
+ 3–5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits, LOA, or people operations.
+ Working knowledge of U.S. benefits programs, FMLA, ADA, and employment law.
+ Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Namely).
+ Experience with Google Suite products, Slack, Zendesk (or similar ticketing systems), and Guru
+ Comfortable working with AI
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset.
+ Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Base Compensation Range:
+ $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission.
The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
