With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *_Position Summary:_* The Revenue Cycle Manager – Optimization & Innovation supports the strategic goals of the Revenue Cycle team by executing performance improvement initiatives, enhancing Epic system workflows, and managing day-to-day operations of optimization projects. The Manager leads a team of analysts and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to implement automation, improve KPIs, and support Epic upgrades and enhancements. **_Position Responsibilities:_** **Key Areas of Responsibility** *Operational Planning and Execution (20%)* · Support the development and execution of departmental revenue cycle optimization strategies aligned with organizational goals. · Coordinate and manage tactical roadmaps across revenue cycle and support areas. · Assist in vendor coordination to ensure alignment with performance expectations. *Revenue Cycle Automation (30%)** *** · Implement automation initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention. · Collaborate with IT and operations to deploy automated systems for billing, coding, and claims processing. · Maintain oversight of RPA bots and ensure ongoing effectiveness. *Performance Improvement (40%)** *** · Monitor KPIs such as AR days, denial rates, and collection rates to identify improvement opportunities. · Lead implementation of best practices to drive operational excellence. · Support standard work development, education, and training across revenue cycle teams. *Compliance and Industry Trends (10%)** *** · Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. · Ensure compliance with revenue cycle regulations and standards. · Provide insights to leadership based on industry developments. · Other Duties as Assigned (5%) · Contributes to long-range planning, supports enterprise initiatives, and responds to emerging organizational needs or innovation opportunities. *_Working Relationships:_* · *This Job Reports To:* Director, Revenue Cycle Optimization & Innovation**** · **# Workers Responsible For:** o Direct Reports: 4 o Indirect Reports: 3 · *Nature of Supervision:* o Daily support and supervision of Care Management team, including Community Care Managers and Resource Coordinators to manage and maintain workflow, uphold policy and procedure and drive patient centered care.**** o *Internal:*Collaborates with operational revenue cycle teams, analytics, IT, and leadership** o *External:*Partners with vendors and solution providers to support implementation and optimization *_Requirements and Specifications:_* **Education** · Minimum:Bachelor's degree in relevant Healthcare field, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience · Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant Healthcare field, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience *Experience:***** · Minimum: o 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, training, or process improvement. o 2 years of leadership experience, including direct people management. o Epic Systems experience, with working knowledge of revenue cycle KPIs and workflow optimization. o Exposure to automation technologies (e.g., RPA) in a healthcare setting. o Background in adult learning, instructional design, or training development for operational teams. · Preferred (Minimum Qualifications ): o 7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, with a focus on performance improvement, automation, and Epic optimization. o 3 years of leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives. o Advanced Epic proficiency, including workflow configuration, KPI dashboarding, and upgrade support. o Proven success implementing automation technologies, such as RPA or AI-driven tools, to streamline billing, coding, or claims workflows. o Experience with performance improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks. o Demonstrated impact on KPIs, including AR days, denial rates, and collection efficiency. o Strong understanding of healthcare compliance standards and ability to apply regulatory changes to operational processes. o Experience developing and delivering training programs, especially those tied to optimization initiatives or system enhancements. o Vendor management experience, particularly in coordinating automation or optimization solutions. *Language Skills:* · Proficient in English; strong written and verbal communication skills required **Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:** · Proven track record leading enterprise-level transformation projects · Ability to manage high-complexity, cross-functional initiatives · Strong financial and operational acumen with understanding of revenue cycle KPIs · Expertise in change leadership and stakeholder engagement · Competency in translating analytics into strategy · Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning *_We take great care of careers._**__* With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
