    **POSITION:** Director of Financial Aid (PCN 00749010)

    **CLASSIFICATION:** MnSCU Academic Supervisor 1

    **STARTING DATE** : Approximately October 24, 2025

    **APPOINTMENT:** Full-Time Unlimited

    **SALARY RANGE:** $30.10 - $43.59/hour ($62,849 - $91,016/annual)

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Plan, organize, and administer financial aid programs and the financial aid office.

    + Develop and implement financial aid policies and procedures that are in compliance with federal and state regulations.

    + Administer the financial aid programs in a timely manner that enhances the college’s ability to recruit and retain eligible students.

    + Manage federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements.

    + Communicate with federal and state offices regarding funding, audits and program reviews.

    + Represent the department in college-wide activities and to external constituents and agencies in matters relating to financial aid.

    + Oversee Veteran Services and benefits.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Three years of experience in Financial Aid or similar setting. An Associate’s degree substitutes for six months of experience.

    + Student record system experience

    + Three years supervisory or lead work experience

    + Good communication, interpersonal & customer service skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s Degree

    + 5 years recent experience in Financial Aid

    + Experience exercising professional judgement by interpreting complex federal, state, MN system, and internal policies

    + Ability to present information to groups of people

    + General knowledge of higher education policies and procedures

    + Knowledge of FERPA and Minnesota Data Practices Act

    + Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds

    + Experience with Military & Veteran student populations or services
