The Advanced Solutions team within the Data & AI Enablement Org is seeking an entry level full stack engineer looking to grow into AI/ML, to support the AI Strategy Team\. The AI Strategy Team will focus on ontology and knowledge graph \(KG\) capabilities to underpin AI solutions within the Advanced Solutions Division\. In addition to tackling early‑stage KG/ontology work the team will conduct experimental work for exploratory technologies for the AI acceleration strategy portfolio\. What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will work closely with a team of experts in AI, software engineering, and systems development to gain hands\-on experience and build your skills\. You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support the organization's goals and objectives, and will have the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by experienced professionals\. You will assist in the development of solutions that drive continuous improvement, inform data\-driven decision making, and help the organization stay ahead of the curve\. Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in software development, with a focus on full\-stack engineering
• Familiarity and/or coding experience with Python \(able to read, write, and debug simple scripts\)
• Basic understanding of LLMs and/or Generative AI \(knowledge of what they are and how they are used\)\.
• Fundamental knowledge of APIs \(understanding of REST principles and ability to call simple APIs\)\.
• US Citizenship is required due to program requirements and system access
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field or equivalent education/experience
Desired Skills:
• Introductory exposure and/or experience with LLM Tool Calling
• Introductory exposure and/or experience in API Development & Integration
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol
• Familiarity with GenAI Coding Assistants
• General awareness and/or Introductory exposure to cloud\-based platforms and containerization \(e\.g\., Docker, Kubernetes\)
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts \(introductory experience with GitLab pipelines, OpenShift, and other related technologies\)
• Knowledge of additional programming languages, such as Java, C\+\+
• Basic understanding of agile development methodologies and version control systems \(e\.g\., Git\)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, AI/ML or related field

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Full\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site\. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,200 \- $140,645\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\. This position is incentive plan eligible\.
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,600 \- $124,430\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\. **Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401\(k\) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays\. \(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\. This position is incentive plan eligible\.
