Associate Scientist – Translational Research

About the Role

We’re recruiting an **Associate Scientist** to join a translational research laboratory within a well?established life sciences organization in the Greater Charlotte region. This is a hands?on role focused on bridging cellular/molecular research with product development in a collaborative, science-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform mammalian **cell culture** , biochemical assays, and molecular biology techniques (PCR, ELISA, Western blot, etc.).

+ Design and execute experiments to evaluate biological activity and mechanism(s) of action.

+ Maintain, validate, and troubleshoot cell?based assays and lab equipment.

+ Analyze data, prepare technical summaries, and contribute to reports and presentations.

+ Maintain accurate documentation (notebooks, SOP compliance) and ensure laboratory safety practices.

+ Collaborate with cross?functional R&D and product development teams.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s in **Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology** , or related field.

+ **1–3+ years** hands?on laboratory experience (academic or industry).

+ Strong experience with **cell culture** and common molecular biology assays.

+ Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem?solving skills.

+ Able to work independently and as part of a team; dependable and deadline?oriented.
