Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Quality Technician (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $24.55 - $29.99 per hour.

HOURS: 7AM - 3:30PM

What you’ll do:

The driving focus of the Quality Technician will be the support of quality activities that help to reduce the risk of quality issues in the operation of the Clutch business assembly areas. In this role, you will maintain the non-conforming material information and area, support operations with quality concerns, perform process audits on production assembly areas and operations, contribute to product audits, and assist on customer quality complaints.

+ Complete cost containment activities, including quarantining, sorting, inspection, verification, and disposition for suspect material and non-conforming product.

+ Approve all material entering and exiting the Non-Conforming Material Area.

+ Count and weigh parts with a powered fork truck and perform Oracle transactions.

+ Physically dispose of scrap and complete corresponding system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.

+ Make decisions about scrap material and escalate questions or issues to the next level.

+ Review the daily performance ticket checks and provide feedback to the support areas (Quality, Operations and Staff) if any issue is identified.

+ Perform process, product, and system audits as needed and communicate the findings.

+ Perform RMA analysis (Return Material Authorization) and provide feedback to the Quality Engineer.

+ Assist in problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions as assigned.

+ Use SPC concepts and Control Charts.

+ Perform work in a manner which supports Eaton’s Quality systems (QS, 9000, TS 16949, CQI-9), and Environmental system (ISO 14000).

+ Track and report out on EPWC trends.

Position Criteria:

+ Basic Problem-Solving tool methodologies

+ Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office

+ Basic understanding Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts, including Control Charts

+ Demonstrated experience with quality escalation process

+ Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively

+ AIAG Core tools (mainly PPAP, APQP, MSA)

+ A3 and 8D problem solving

+ IATF requirements

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

+ Must have a minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience OR (1) year of lead / coordinator experience

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

+ Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply basic metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
