SNAP Case Supervisor

Overview

Staffing Solutions Organization (SSO) is seeking motivated and dependable **Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Case Supervisors** to be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of up to twenty-five SNAP Case Reviewers for a staffing initiative to support the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (MA DTA) for a 3 to 9-month project. It is critical that the candidate is deeply familiar with SNAP policy and have experience supervising staff and conducting quality control and/or quality assurance case reviews. Responsibilities require independent decision making and judgment on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures.

+ Solid level of comfort with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Work, and Excel.

+ Detail and process improvement oriented.

+ Enthusiastic, independent, and self-motivated.

+ Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

+ Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting.

+ Ability to work independently with limited in-person supervision.

+ This person must be highly adaptable, a quick learner, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while embracing frequent change.

Duties and Deliverables

Each workday, Case Supervisors will manage a team that will be assigned a set of error prone cases that they will systematically review using a prescribed Case Review Tool.

Job responsibilities include:

+ Planning, organizing, and running weekly schedules for staff.

+ Provide training, update policies and procedures, and provide guidance to staff with all business-related processes.

+ Provide statistical data for management.

+ Provide performance appraisal evaluations.

+ Manage a queue of pending cases awaiting secondary review.

+ Rigorously review cases using a standardized case review tool and applying current SNAP policy.

+ Navigate SNAP eligibility system and electronic documents to research cases.

+ Document findings and effectively communicate findings to eligibility technicians and supervisors.

+ Identify root causes of case errors.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

+ At least one year of experience with the supervision of staff; experience leading remote staff and/or in a complex environment would be a plus.

+ Minimum 5+ years prior experience to include a combination of supervising eligibility staff, conducting eligibility determinations and/or completing SNAP quality assurance.

+ Previous experience in consulting and/or training strongly preferred.

+ High school diploma, or equivalent required. Some college training preferred.

+ Must be 18 years of age or older.

+ Must be authorized to work in the US.

+ Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and concisely.

+ Fluency in a second or multiple languages would be a plus.

+ Employment is contingent on completion of a background check.

+ Own telephone, wireless internet (WiFi), and electronic equipment.

The work will be performed remotely during the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (EST)

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship including H-1B sponsorship) by SSO. Under the federal laws relating to the F-1 STEM EAD program, SSO may be able to support a STEM EAD extension application at the sole discretion of your Designated School Official. This does not guarantee that any STEM EAD extension application will be approved.
