Purpose: The Airframe Team Lead role provides leadership to mechanics performing maintenance, modifications and repairs while providing daily leadership and direction to all assigned mechanics working the lead’s project.

Responsibilities:
+ Provide leadership to mechanics, ensuring a clear understanding of project work
+ Work with Airframe Supervisor to ensure project maintenance and modification is completed in accordance with documentation and meets customer and company requirements
+ Follow proper aircraft procedures and company procedures when making decisions regarding aircraft maintenance and modifications
+ Work with the Airframe Supervisor to ensure projects are completed on time and efficiently
+ Work with Airframe Supervisor/ Planning with scheduling of maintenance events
+ Ensure proper parts planning and taskings are prepared for team
+ Work adjacently with other departments to ensure timely solutions for scheduling and maintenance issues
+ Work directly on aircraft and support team in completing tasking and developing skills.
+ Understand and apply FAA regulations and standards
+ Work with Airframe Supervisor regarding employee relations, time keeping and performance management
+ Approve employee timesheets on a weekly basis
+ Write performance reviews for employees on an annual basis
+ Review and approve expense reports, PTO requests
+ Attend daily standup meetings
+ Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
+ Airframe & Powerplant license preferred, Airframe required
+ 737-500 or Boeing, DeHavilland, King Air, Gulfstream experience preferred
+ Ability to lead a group of mechanics to complete projects in a given timeframe
+ Ability to prioritize and multitask well in a fast-paced work environment
+ Ability to read drawings, manuals, regulations, and other documentation to ensure proper build and modification completion
+ Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
+ Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
+ Works well with others
+ High school education required; some college preferred
+ Experience working in an AS9100, ISO 9001, DCMA and FAA Part 145 environment preferred
+ Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
