Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Sensor Integration NPI Department supporting the New Product Introduction team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer

**Location:** Foster City, CA

**Pay Range:** $80/hour

What's the Job?

+ Manage existing Bill of Materials (BOMs) and overall design configurations using CAD and PLM tools

+ Collaborate closely with the PLM team to release all design changes across multiple systems

+ Work with manufacturing teams to ensure a seamless rollout of new products

+ Review existing product designs and propose hardware and process improvements

+ Lead root cause analysis for issues during initial build phases with cross-functional teams

What's Needed?

+ BS in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field

+ 5+ years of industry experience, preferably in automotive or related sectors

+ Proficiency in 3D CAD design, with Catia V5/V6 experience preferred

+ Experience launching high-volume products

+ Knowledge of electronic modules within an automotive context and experience with die cast, injection molded, and sheet metal parts
