    The Director, Data Technology Solutions devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. The Director, Data Technology Solutions requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment. The Director, Data Technology Solutions, acts as a liaison and collaborates with the business and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. Decisions are typically related to the implementation of new/updated programs or large-scale projects for the function and supporting technical/operational procedures and processes, and implements strategic plans, drives goals and objectives, and improve performance. Provides input into functions strategy. This could include technologies related to clinical, claims, provider, enrollment, etc.

    Key responsibilities include:

    + Create the roadmap for our data cloud migration integrated with our new data mesh strategy

    + Drive adoption of best-in-class capabilities, AI and data virtualization.

    + Lead the strategy, design and delivery of best-in-class data products, leveraging advanced techniques including but not limited to data mesh

    + Build, scale, deploy, and manage data ecosystems in a multi-cloud environment to enhance application and reporting needs that further Humana's mission to improve interaction in every sale.

    + Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members (data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts), as well as data product and governance teams; Provide thought leadership; Conduct weekly methodology reviews; Utilize industry and academic resources to continuously learn, innovate, and contribute to a growing knowledge base of data best practices.

    + At an enterprise level, help lead the data governance efforts within Humana, partnering closely with the senior leadership and partnering with a strong data governance team

    + Scale delivery of advanced data and analytics products by ensuring timeliness and quality of standardized products, that are robust both in terms of architecture as well as insights

    + Create and maintain solution roadmap by collaborating with multitude of release train teams. Ensure consistency across release trains, and adoption of enterprise strategy/standards/practices

    + Communicate strategy and results to technical and non-technical audiences; Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and internal clients.

    + Partner with vendor accelerators, universities, and consultants to accelerate innovation.

    + Understand Humana’s complex and diverse data environment to design data strategy and utilize AI models to bring action.

    + Solve problems from the business point of view, build and execute solid analytics work plans, gather and organize large and complex data assets, perform relevant analyses (data exploration and statistical modeling), automate work streams, foster teamwork in interactions, develop client relationships with business stakeholders, and communicate hypotheses and findings in a structured way.

    + Acts as a trusted advisor to multiple business partners on a wide range of Data Analysis projects from ad-hoc requests to large-scale cross-functional engagements.

    + Build cross functional relationships with verticals – IT, Analytics, Marketing, Sales etc, act as a trusted advisor and liaison among business, product & development teams

    + Help create proformas for the delivery of product roadmap through active sponsorship, leadership, and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure desired value, cost and value requirements are achieved

    Role Essentials

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + 8+ years of data product management including data engineering and architecture experience, strategy, program management and/or technology delivery experience

    + Agile product development experience

    + Strong leadership experience, with proven success building/developing/managing high performing teams

    + Both quantitative and qualitative analysis experience, with the ability to drive to trend identification and actionable insights

    + Experience managing complex initiatives through cross functional teams and demonstrated ability to manage and influence stakeholders across the enterprise

    + Strong analytic, organization and problem-solving skills enabling sound decision making

    + Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences

    + Demonstrated success of driving results through objectives and key results (OKR) management

    + Strong ability to understand business strategy and deliver desired outcomes through product creation/delivery

    Role Desirables

    + MBA or Master’s degree

    + Work experience in health care and/or insurance industry

    + Extensive experience developing/delivering/managing contact center voice products

    + Extensive experience with voice and conversational capability enablement/automation

    + Experience with cloud orchestration products – Adobe, Salesforce, Pointillist etc.

    + Direct experience leading Product Managers and Owners

    + Experience managing vendor relationships

    Pay Range

    The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

    $172,200 - $236,900 per year

    This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
