We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to manage and lead electrical design projects. The role involves overseeing a variety of support systems including engine wiring harness and control systems, facility interconnecting wiring diagrams, and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities
+ Manage electrical design projects with minimal guidance and supervision of Senior Electrical Engineers, overseeing schedule, budget, and task breakdowns.
+ Responsible for design efforts that include engine wiring harness and control systems, facility interconnecting wiring diagrams, facility control systems, and data acquisition systems.
+ Create high-level and low-level detailed wiring diagrams for industrial data acquisition, control systems, and cable assemblies using AutoCAD Electrical.
+ Facilitate design reviews internally and support project reviews externally with project management members and customers.
+ Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineers in a cross-functional environment.
+ Create designs and drawings that comply with industry standards.
+ Provide feedback to engineering management on work progress and status.
+ Work closely with a team of electrical engineers, designers, drafters, and management to produce project deliverables.
+ Collect and interpret information from various design inputs including previous designs, customer specifications, and documentation.
+ Acquire ongoing knowledge to improve technology, products, and processes through company training opportunities.
+ Support existing customers by providing troubleshooting instructions on familiar work packages.
+ Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture, offering recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical design and engineering concepts.
+ Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for designing electrical systems.
+ Expertise in electrical design, wire harness design, and junction boxes.
+ Must have an AAS Degree with 4+ years of experience or a BSEE with 2+ years of experience.
+ Related industry experience required based on the Electrical Engineering level.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ CE and ATEX regulatory experience preferred.
+ Experience in designing electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent in areas such as data acquisition and control systems, power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and junction boxes.
+ Familiarity with building electrical ducting and services.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brighton, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.07/hr.
