    Job Title: Sales Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Sales Engineer, you will collaborate with the National Sales Manager to develop strategic sales plans and ensure effective communication of customer and market information across key departments. You will be instrumental in applying our products at the customer level, supporting both components and systems applications.

    Responsibilities

    + Formulate sales plans in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.

    + Communicate vital customer and market information to critical departments.

    + Apply products at the customer level to support components and systems applications.

    + Build and maintain profiles for all existing and potential key accounts.

    + Maintain regular contact with key personnel at assigned accounts.

    + Prepare quarterly sales and market reports, distributor performance reports, and call reports.

    + Prepare weekly itineraries for planned activities.

    + Conduct product training at customer locations.

    + Communicate effectively with all departments.

    + Aid in the development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures.

    + Identify new product needs and coordinate with the National Sales Manager.

    + Participate in trade shows and lead follow-ups.

    + Promote safety and comply with safety policies.

    + Complete assigned tasks and reports promptly.

    + Actively participate in departmental meetings.

    + Maintain a customer-oriented philosophy with co-workers, departments, and customers.

    + Promote good housekeeping measures and support compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.

    + Back up all PC files to the network weekly.

    + Maintain knowledge of computer software and upgrades.

    + Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, or relevant specialized industry-related training.

    + 2-3 years of experience in sales engineering or related fields.

    + Strong sales background is highly preferred.

    + Willingness to engage in 6–12-month engineering training.

    + FPS certification as a Fluid Power Specialist or Hydraulic Specialist is preferred.

    + Effective communication skills with proficiency in English, both written and oral.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with intermediate to advanced skills preferred.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including extra hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    + Self-motivated and capable of working independently to achieve sales goals.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in engineering, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering.

    + Background in account management, design, business development, and manufacturing engineering.

    Work Environment

    This role involves working onsite in an engineering environment. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including the possibility of extended hours during weekdays, as well as occasional work on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr.
