As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in testing and separating waste materials from liquids and solids, ensuring that specific readings meet defined technical specifications. You will collect samples, run lab tests using a tabletop centrifuge, and adjust settings as necessary to achieve desired results. Your findings will be compiled into comprehensive reports for customer review. This position involves travel within the U.S. for pilot testing at customer sites using mobile centrifuge units.
Responsibilities
+ Collect and test waste material samples using a tabletop centrifuge in a laboratory setting.
+ Adjust centrifuge speed and add polymers as needed to optimize the separation process.
+ Measure and record the characteristics of separated solids and liquids, such as waste thickness and water clarity.
+ Compile test results into detailed reports and communicate findings to customers.
+ Conduct pilot tests at customer sites using mobile centrifuge units.
+ Collaborate with sales teams and customers to ensure satisfaction with testing results.
+ Travel 50-75% of the time within the U.S. to perform on-site testing.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Agricultural/Biological Systems, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in process engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
+ Proven experience in process optimization, continuous improvement, and project management.
+ Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
+ Strong understanding of process engineering principles and practices.
+ Valid driver's license and willingness to travel a minimum of 50%.

+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects.
+ Flexibility with work hours, with the possibility of compensatory days off following extensive travel or consecutive workdays.
+ Recent graduates will be considered for training opportunities.
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible work schedule, where you can adjust your start and end times as long as you complete 40 hours per week. Travel within the U.S. is a significant component, requiring comfort with frequent travel. The work environment promotes continuous improvement and is situated in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on waste testing and separation processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
