    Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware/Software Engineer with electrical engineering experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience working in a mixed hardware-software environment, with a strong background in rapidly designing and building prototype systems.

     

    + Debug and troubleshoot systems with various cross-discipline subsystems

    + Perform fine-point soldering for electrical/electronic rework

    + Program basic firmware scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Arduino

    + Work with MIPI, computer vision, and display systems

    + Utilize communication protocols such as I²C, UART, and SPI

    + Conduct hardware-level debugging

    + Work with embedded systems, including FPGA and SoCs, and utilize shared memory registers and AXI

    + Develop and code in C, C#, or C++

    + Utilize MATLAB for analysis and tool development

    + Provide day-to-day support for prototype issues in debugging, electrical, and programming

    + Program microcontrollers and interfacing software

    + Maintain strong documentation and communication skills

    + Collaborate in a rapid prototyping environment with cross-functional partners

    + Utilize lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs, and signal generators for data collection and analysis

    MUST HAVES:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

    + 5+ years of experience in PCB design using tools like CAD, PADS, or Altium Designer

    + Familiarity with industrial standards for PCB manufacturing and IPC guidelines

    + Proficient in Gerber file verification and manufacturing drawing creation

    + Experience with board bring-up, circuit design, and hardware-level troubleshooting

    + Strong understanding of hardware design principles

    + Experience with embedded systems including FPGA, SoCs, and microcontrollers

    + Skilled in programming languages such as C, C#, C++, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Arduino

    + Knowledge of communication protocols like I²C, UART, and SPI

    + Exposure to MIPI interfaces, computer vision, and display systems

    + Hands-on experience with lab instruments including oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs, and signal generators

    + Proficient in MATLAB for analysis and tool development

    + Strong documentation and communication skills

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional prototyping environment

    Work Environment

    This is a lab-centric position requiring extensive use of lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs, and signal generators for data collection and analysis. The role involves working in a rapid prototyping environment alongside cross-functional partners, necessitating strong collaboration and communication skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
