Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description
This position focuses on reviewing engineering and manufacturing documents to ensure they meet customer and industry quality standards. You'll work closely with teams across the company to approve documentation, support product development, and resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare compliance reports and manage non-conformance investigations.
+ Develop inspection plans and lead corrective actions.
+ Represent the quality department during audits.
+ Collaborate with customers and internal departments to maintain high standards throughout the production process.
+ Ensure quality standards for new product launches.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of quality engineering experience.
+ Proficiency in root cause analysis, 8D, and Six Sigma.
+ Experience with PPAP and new product launches.
+ Customer and supplier interface experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment; experience in medical or automotive industries can translate well.
+ Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
Work Environment
Work primarily on the manufacturing floor with a small percentage in an office setting. You will be part of a growing aerospace manufacturing company involved in products for defense and commercial aerospace. The role involves interaction with suppliers and customers and encompasses full-scope quality engineering in a technical metal machining and welding environment with high-quality standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
