    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a manufacturing plant located in Rodgers, AR. The role involves validating raw powders, compacts, sintered components, and related processes to ensure they meet the required performance, quality, and safety standards. This position will work collaboratively with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support product development, process qualification, and supplier validation.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and execute material validation plans, protocols, and reports for raw materials, components, and finished goods.

    + Perform material property testing (mechanical, thermal, chemical, and metallurgical analysis) to verify conformance to specifications and industry standards.

    + Support supplier qualification through review of material certifications, test reports, and incoming inspection results.

    + Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to evaluate new materials and support product development.

    + Troubleshoot material-related issues in production and field applications, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.

    + Maintain accurate documentation of testing, results, and validation activities in compliance with company standards.

    + Ensure adherence to relevant industry and regulatory standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in material science or engineering (metallurgical, chemical, or mechanical).

    + 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with metals or other industrial materials.

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation.

    + Demonstrated experience in creative problem-solving and implementing corrective actions.

    + Ability to work under minimal supervision and cross-functionally.

    + Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Powder metallurgy experience preferred, including powder production, mixing, compaction, sintering, and finishing.

    Work Environment

    This role is based at a manufacturing plant in Rodgers, AR. The Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager and work cross-functionally with our technology team. The work environment emphasizes collaboration and innovation, with a focus on meeting rigorous performance, quality, and safety standards.

    This is a Contract position based out of Rogers, Arkansas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
