    Job Title: General Construction Laborer

    Job Description

    We are seeking dedicated Emergency Service Restoration Technicians to join our team in CT. As a leading company in fire, water, and mold restoration, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will perform essential restoration services, including cleaning and demolition of properties affected by water, fire, and mold damage. This role is a general laborer role and anyone that has done outdoor work such as landscaping or general construction would be a fit for this position. This position requires you to be on-call each day with about 2 days a month actually being call ins. You must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and anytime that they would need you. The job will be paying between $20 - $23 for people with no restoration experience and $25 for those who have experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform restoration services, including cleaning and demolition, on properties damaged by water, fire, and mold.

    + Report to the local office and travel to job sites within the region.

    + Use water damage and monitoring equipment effectively.

    + Monitor restoration sites and complete necessary paperwork.

    + Enter basic job and project information into computers.

    + Interact professionally with end customers.

    Essential Skills

    + Steady work history without job hopping from manual labor environments such as construction, warehouse, or landscaping.

    + Ability to work in an on-call and emergency response environment.

    + At least 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor.

    + Excellent communication skills and a neat appearance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Responsible, professional, and a strong team player.

    + Good driving record and availability for on-call projects.

    Work Environment

     

    Work is performed at various project sites that are being restored, as well as at our facility for loading and unloading equipment. The role requires being on your feet all day, lifting up to 100 lbs regularly, and performing tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with additional opportunities for weekend work and on-call projects as needed. The environment is commercial with no residential work involved.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, Connecticut.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
