Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our team in manufacturing high-quality printing ink. We offer comprehensive training to operate specialized machinery and engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
Responsibilities
+ Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
+ Package finished products in various containers and apply labels.
+ Clean and maintain machines to TPM standards.
+ Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.
+ Weigh-up batches by following process orders and shifts.
+ Mix batches by discharging pigment and operating mixers safely, adhering to all standard operating procedures.
+ Operate the Hockmeyer mill, maintaining optimal overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) standards.
+ Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas, including processing times.
+ Operate canning equipment, including press out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts.
+ Act as a quality control liaison by providing ink samples, making adjustments, and recording data.
+ Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
+ Assist with repackaging tasks.
Essential Skills
+ At least 6 months of production experience.
+ At least 3 months of operating experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Willingness to learn.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift experience preferred, but training is available.
+ Experience in mixing and pump filter industries is advantageous.

Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing facility dedicated to producing ink. Employees are provided with uniforms to protect their personal clothing from ink stains. The facility includes a locker room and other necessary accommodations. Once converted to permanent positions, employees receive shift differentials: $1 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
