    Job Title: Drug Manufacturing Technician

    Job Description

    This is a non-exempt position where hours worked over 40 will be compensated at time and a half. The role involves ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of drug manufacturing equipment. It requires accurately weighing raw materials and active ingredients, and combining them into a blend. The technician is responsible for keeping the equipment and facility clean and in good repair. Additionally, the role involves participating in the completion of work orders, including batch record documentation per current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The technician must accurately follow and complete documentation with minimal errors or corrections.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and operate drug manufacturing equipment properly.

    + Accurately weigh raw materials and active ingredients.

    + Combine ingredients into a blend.

    + Keep equipment and facility clean and in good repair.

    + Participate in the completion of work orders, including batch record documentation per cGMP.

    + Follow and complete documentation with minimal errors or corrections.

    + Complete training including cGMP and safety training in a timely manner.

    + Work independently or as part of a team and follow procedures exactly.

    Essential Skills

    + Entry-level with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Experience in batch mixing, compounding, blending, and chemical processes.

    + Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience as a Chemical Operator or Batch Mixer.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves handling drug manufacturing equipment and chemicals. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and cGMP guidelines. The facility must be kept clean and in good repair, and the technician may work alone or as part of a team.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract-to-hire position based out of Des Plaines, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
