Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the logistics operations, tasked with moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You will have a two-hour lead time on all materials needed for the production floor, which requires a high level of efficiency and production goals to be met each hour.
Responsibilities
+ Operate forklifts and mobile equipment to move merchandise.
+ Push manual pallet jacks weighing 50-70 lbs.
+ Engage in material handling by hand, cleaning, and walking for approximately 50% of the shift.
+ Utilize warehouse management systems for order selection and inventory control.
+ Perform tasks involving packaging, inventory control, RF scanning, order picking, and packing.
+ Maintain a proven track record of positive performance and attendance.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of forklift or mobile equipment operation experience.
+ Experience with stand-up forklifts and electric-powered lifts.
+ Proficiency in warehouse management systems and order selection in distribution centers.
+ Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted and perform repetitive tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift certification verified through references.
+ Experience in distribution with no gaps in employment for 1-2 years.
+ Understanding of production metrics and standards.
+ Experience with stand-up reach trucks and stand-up rider pallet jacks.

Work Environment
You will work in a very clean, state-of-the-art facility in Colonial Heights that includes packaging operations, a warehouse, and a training center. The facility is climate-controlled with smaller aisles, requiring careful navigation. Locker rooms are available for storing personal items, and a canteen with food and drink machines is provided. The role involves a 3,2,2,3 schedule in a 24/7 operation, specifically for night shift roles with a differential. There is potential for permanent positions after a 90-day contract period.

This is a Contract position based out of Colonial Heights, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.91 - $23.91/hr.
