    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment. This entry-level position works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to maintain the facility and equipment at a safe, high-efficiency, and quality level, contributing to the site's overall strategic direction. The role involves conducting preventative maintenance on equipment and ensuring a proper stock of parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Work safely and adhere to established safety principles and practices.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment based on the PM program.

    + Complete tasks assigned by the manager based on abilities.

    + Assist in the installation of new equipment.

    + Maintain equipment to maximize efficiency.

    + Conduct refrigeration and evaporator cleaning.

    + Perform basic equipment maintenance on Fridays.

    + Inspect and maintain conveyors and belt conditions.

    + Check and secure electrical connections.

    + Perform machinery repairs in a safe and efficient manner.

    + Document repairs and maintenance to meet food safety standards.

    + Carry out other assignments as required within job scope and abilities by the Maintenance Manager.

    Work Environment

     

    Work hours are Sunday to Thursday, 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The position is primarily based in a cold storage environment, mostly at 38/40 degrees, so dressing warmly is a must. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hairnets and lab coats will be provided. Slip-resistant shoes/boots are required, though they do not need to be steel-toe.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
