    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to join our team, working on the 2nd and 3rd shifts from 3-11 pm and 11 pm - 7 am. This role involves setting up and changing over CNC Lathe and Hydromat machines, with a focus on program edits rather than programming. The successful candidate will ensure machines are correctly set up, fixtures are changed, and programs are edited to initiate machine operations. Additionally, they will read job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements.

     

    Must have some kind of CNC set up experience to be considered.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform set-ups and changeovers on CNC Lathe and Hydromat machines.

    + Edit programs to get machines started, without full programming responsibilities.

    + Read and apply part specifications, work instructions, routings, and process control plan prints.

    + Determine dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts required.

    + Change and record tooling as specified on tool change charts.

    + Safely load specified bar stock into machines.

    + Collaborate with set-up personnel and engineering to resolve machine problems when necessary.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 3 years of CNC Lathe Set Up Experience.

    + Ability to edit CNC programs on the machine.

    + Experience using calipers and micrometers.

    + Previous experience changing out fixtures.

    + Willingness to work overtime.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in CNC setup and changeover processes.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
