    Job Title: Blender Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking motivated individuals to join our food production team at our plant in Orangeville, IL. As a Blender Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Work collaboratively with a team to support production and sanitation tasks.

    + Adhere to all safety standards and regulations set by the company and governmental bodies.

    + Operate in all designated production areas and perform relief duties as required.

    + Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure good organization and housekeeping.

    + Complete and verify all necessary documentation daily.

    + Display a positive attitude and work effectively as a team member.

    + Take initiative to ensure seamless operations.

    + Become forklift certified if necessary and use manual pallet jacks.

    + Read, understand, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company documentation.

    + Participate in Clean in Place (CIP), housekeeping, and chemical usage activities.

    + Be flexible and adaptable to cross-training and moving between work centers.

    + Assemble and set up equipment.

    + Work with minimal supervision and function in wet and dusty environments with varying temperatures.

    + Label products to packaging standards.

    + Operate safely on elevated platforms and work with allergens such as soy, wheat, and milk.

    + Report unsafe conditions or injuries to a supervisor or manager immediately.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in food production preferred.

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + Proficient math skills.

    + Ability to perform computer data entry.

    + Capability to stand for long periods.

    + Strong problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.

    + Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in mixing, production, general production, forklift operation, general labor, machine operation, blending, and batching.

    + Capability to train, lead, and develop teams.

    + Experience operating dryers and overseeing mixing and bagging operations.

    + Ability to work in confined spaces during cleaning or troubleshooting.

    + Able to cover for a supervisor in their absence.

    Work Environment

    This position operates within a food processing plant that mixes protein powders. The work environment can be wet and dusty with varying temperatures. The role requires standing for extended periods and involves working on elevated platforms with allergens present (soy, wheat, and milk). Shifts are as follows: AM Shift from 4:30am to 5pm and PM Shift from 4:30pm to 5am, with rotating weekends (3 days one week and 4 days the following week).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orangeville, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
