Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a long-term contract position that requires expertise in managing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors.

• Oversee accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collection activities.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle billing functions and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.

• Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and process financial transactions effectively.

• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting workflows and procedures.

• Generate reports using Microsoft Excel to track financial performance.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required. Requirements • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Solid experience with billing functions and account reconciliation.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks for financial management.

• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration and issue resolution.
