    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Join a leading global provider in precision stainless and specialty alloy tubing products. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating the Mill machine, which bends metal into pipe form, for diverse industries such as power generation, renewable, oil and gas, petrochemical, food and dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and general commercial sectors.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the Mill machine to bend metal into pipe form.

    + Change out metal rolls every 2-12 hours as needed.

    + Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs, quality checks, and adjustments on machines.

    + Understand basic 3-phase, 480 volt electrical systems to know when to call for major repairs.

    + Perform minor welding tasks, such as tack welding, with training provided.

    + Conduct basic preventative maintenance on the machine.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in troubleshooting and running machinery for at least 2 years.

    + Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

    + Proficiency in preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools.

    + Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in machining, maintenance, mechanics, or fabrication.

    + Experience with welding and fabrication is beneficial.

    + Ability to think outside of the box and solve problems creatively.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on the B shift from Monday to Thursday, 5pm-5am, in a non-union shop with roughly 100 employees across 4 shifts. Training lasts 3-6 months. Experience a very safe and friendly workplace with opportunities for shift premiums and competitive pay raises.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
