Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a mechanically-inclined team player capable of reading work orders and blueprints to assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits for various industries, including car wash, machine tool coolant, and oil and gas. You will be trained in forklift operation and pump/valve testing, allowing you to contribute to the assembly of over 100 different types of pumps, from entry-level to expert-level assembly. You will complete full assemblies and sub-assemblies, moving around different assembly lines and collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities
+ Read work orders and blueprints to assemble hydraulic pumps, valves, and kits.
+ Complete full assemblies and sub-assemblies.
+ Operate forklifts and perform pump/valve testing.
+ Collaborate with different assembly lines and departments, including warehouse, kitting, and shipping/receiving.
+ Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
+ Assist team members and construct small kits.
Essential Skills
+ 6+ months of mechanical assembly experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to read work orders and blueprints.
+ General mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
+ 1+ year work history in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Interest and initiative in learning products.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Work Environment
Work in a well-organized and safe manufacturing environment with approximately 100 employees. The company operates in two buildings, one housing CNC machining centers and the other dedicated to assembly and shipping/receiving. This full-time role involves assembling and testing pumps, moving materials, and assisting team members. The position offers a variety of tasks that keep the work engaging. The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with voluntary overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
