    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating test equipment, performing troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry, and providing detailed failure descriptions. The role requires adherence to all company guidelines and policies while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate test equipment according to specifications.

    + Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the component level.

    + Provide detailed written failure descriptions with root cause analysis to production and engineering teams.

    + Follow written and verbal instructions, adhering to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.

    + Assist other departments with tasks in various production cells or locations as needed.

    + Maintain a safe and clean work environment, uphold an acceptable safety record, and follow company safety rules.

    + Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

    + Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electronics and troubleshooting.

    + Experience as a Test Technician working on electronic or electro-mechanical devices.

    + Ability to conduct troubleshooting, testing, and analyze results.

    + Competence in completing work according to instructions, specifications, and procedures.

    + Conduct various tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment.

    + Familiarity with schematic, PCB assembly, IPC 610, J standard, vibration analysis, and thermal testing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months to 2+ years of testing experience required.

    + Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

    + Proficiency in using computers for documentation, primarily Microsoft applications.

    + Self-starter with hands-on experience.

    + High School Diploma required; BA/BS required for leadership roles.

    Work Environment

     

    The role operates in a manufacturing and electrical work environment, which can be occasionally loud. Safety glasses and anti-static smocks are required, with steel toe shoes provided on the first day. The position is 1st shift, Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 1:30 PM or Monday to Thursday from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional overtime up to 10% per year based on production needs. The assignment is a 90-working-day temporary to hire position, approximately 4 months. Attendance is critical to tenure.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.24 - $24.24/hr.
