Description

A well-established construction company based in Kent, WA is seeking a Contract Staff Accountant to support its finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and a strong understanding of construction accounting, including job costing and project-based financial tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to construction projects.

+ Process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments using D365.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.

+ Track project costs, budgets, and expenditures across multiple job sites.

+ Prepare financial reports and assist with compliance documentation.

+ Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial tracking.

+ Support internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is required.

Strong understanding of GAAP and project-based accounting.

Experience with job costing, budget tracking, and financial reporting.

Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
